Dear all you good folks of the anime/game/manga world:
I am Chris, and some know me as Kurotsuki or Kuro. A few years ago I was not exactly happy about the way my local convention was doing things, so instead of complaining about it I decided to do something about it. I also tried to get on staff to see what was going on. Turns out running a con is a major passion and it takes a lot of love and dedication to motivate yourself and get things done.
Fast forward to 2020, the world faces a huge challenge in dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic. As someone who attends a lot of anime events and concerts, now I am left to look at the deep abyss caused by the pandemic–both in the disruption all across the globe and in the heart and soul of those affected.
Thanks to the internet, we are able to do something about this. It won’t be the same as being there in person, but we can still be with each other online. We want to challenge everyone in the anime con community as well as all the fans and folks who are now stuck at home to join us at Kurotsuki Online Convention 2020. It will be free to attend online.
Everyone in the anime convention space is now in uncharted waters, just like Kurocon. With my trusty crew, we will do our best to bring back that lost excitement through DJs, industry events, fan panels, and special guests. There will be a lot of announcements leading up to the con, which takes place on Twitch and Discord on July 4th and 5th. Please stay tuned!
I hope to see you all there.
PS. We have a press release here if that’s more your thing.
